Father Tim onstage

Father Tim Bywater celebrated his 65th birthday at Suddaby’s on Friday 12th June. (For those of you not acquainted, he is the parish priest at St Leonard’s & St Mary’s in Malton). Fr Tim has long been a friend of Sudd’s and calls in now and again for a pint of Double Chance. The crowd of around 80 friends and parishioners were entertained by the amazing Fliss Barker and The Dirty Stopouts, with guest appearances from Patrick Robertson, and Tim Richardson on guitar. Young Anja Longworth sang a stunning rendition of ‘Hallelujah’.

In his thank you speech, Father Tim paid eloquent tribute to Neil and Karen’s support of charities and local causes, saying ‘It’s all about community…’. We couldn’t agree more!
